Boston Celtics center Al Horford will not play tonight against the Golden State Warriors, head coach Brad Stevens told reporters after the pre-game shootaround.

The team will likely roll with Kelly Olynyk at center as they have been the past five games.

“Al had by far his best day [Thursday]. He did some 3-on-3, some 1-on-1, went up and down. Felt pretty good,” Stevens told ESPN's Chris Forsberg. “Hopefully, barring no setbacks, we're closer than further with him.”

The Celtics will also be without the services of Jae Crowder, an all-around defender that could give forward Kevin Durant nightmares throughout the game.

“The No. 1 thing is you want to play defense,” said Stevens. “You don't want to play in transition.”

Stevens could opt for struggling rookie Jaylen Brown or bench scorer Gerald Green to start at small forward in Crowder's absence.

The Warriors boast a fully healthy lineup and coach Steve Kerr plans on no restrictions for his starters, but said he could pull some on Saturday on the back end of the back-to-back against the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News.
