Despite the noise of Jae Crowder‘s rancor for Kevin Durant‘s offseason choice, the gritty Boston Celtics forward has been ruled out for tonight's game against the Golden State Warriors, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

The Celtics, who were the only NBA team to beat the Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers on their home court last season, also have their prized offseason acquisition, Al Horford, listed as a game-time decision.

Boston is coming off victories in three of their last four contests, and while they'll miss Crowder's defensive tenacity, they would surely benefit from having an inside scorer like Horford, who can cook up a weak interior defensive team like Golden State.

The All-Star big man has missed the past eight games, recovering from a concussion suffered in practice after the team's third game of the season on October 31st.
