It was an unceremonious exit from the league for free agent quarterback Robert Griffin III. After a tumultuous season with the ever-struggling Cleveland Browns, there appeared to be little interest around the league in the former second overall pick.

However, Griffin III suggests that simply is not the case. After recently filling in as a guest analyst on NFL Live, he revealed that he received multiple offers even before the start of the 2017 NFL season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter:

Despite his promising future as an analyst, Griffin III has been adamant about returning to the league. The former Offensive Rookie of the Year enjoyed a spectacular start to his NFL tenure, throwing for 3,200 yards, 20 touchdowns, and just five interceptions while adding another 815 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground while leading the Washington Redskins to an NFC East crown.

Following a bitter departure from the Redskins, RGIII was hoping to re-solidify himself as a legitimate starting quarterback with the Browns. Needless to say, that did not work out too well, as he finished a rocky 2016 NFL season on injured reserve with a fractured shoulder. Despite the current state of quarterback play throughout the league, even a return as a backup seems unlikely at this point.
