Houston Rockets combo guard Austin Rivers went on IG live and talked about the NBA’s proposal to players if the 2019-20 season is resumed.

The Rockets guard said teams would get two practices before starting up the season again and all the games would be in Las Vegas:

The NBA could look at resuming games at venues in a centralized location, with Las Vegas reportedly emerging as the best possible location.

Las Vegas’ centralized hotels can keep all teams under one roof and gym.

Austin Rivers and the Rockets were in sixth place in the Western Conference standings before the 2019-20 season was suspended. Houston had a record of 40-24.

In 60 games this season, Rivers was averaging 8.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists for the Rockets in 23.4 minutes per contest. The former Duke star was shooting 42.1 percent from the field, 35.8 percent from beyond the arc and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.

NBA owners are hopeful of resuming the season in the summer. However, that’s only possible if the coronavirus dies down and the CDC allows games to be played again.

The Rockets, despite being in sixth place out West, were considered title contenders since they were the only team in the NBA with two MVPs leading the charge. Both James Harden and Russell Westbrook were putting up stellar numbers for Houston before the season was suspended.
