The Houston Rockets added yet another mark on the loss column, as they succumbed to the Denver Nuggets 94 – 95. In a night where the Nuggets rotation struggled, reigning MVP Nikola Jokic carried the team, as he scored 28 points on a ridiculously efficient 9-15 clip and 9-11 from the free throw line. He also added in 14 boards and two dimes, showing everyone why he's the MVP of this league.

After the game, Rockets center Christian Wood made some… interesting comments about his experience guarding Jokic. (via Jackson Gatlin)

“Wasn't difficult, I think it could have been better if I was more involved in the offense.”

It's a bold claim from Wood, saying that guarding Jokic wasn't difficult on a night where he torched you and the Rocketson defense. The second part of Wood's statement, though, will surely catch the attention of the Rockets players and fans.

This season, the Rockets are looking to develop their backcourt duo of Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green, with Porter Jr. being eyed as the franchise's point guard of the future. Apparently, one player (Wood), isn't satisfied with the amount of touches the budding point guard is giving him, Just how that correlates with his defense on Jokic that game remains to be seen, however.

This isn't really a good sign from Wood, who has committed earlier this season to being the “leader” of the Rockets. There might be times where publicly calling out your teammates is a good team, but ragging on them for not giving him the ball isn't a good luck. Hopefully, him and the Rockets figure out a way of helping each other instead of trying to outdo each other on the court.
