Memphis Grizzlies head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, who was an assistant for the Houston Rockets from 2011 to 2015, believes that James Harden can absolutely do anything on offense.

Prior to being the Grizzlies head coach, Bickerstaff spent some time with the Rockets' coaching staff and even became the team's interim coach back in the 2015-16 season. As such, he has seen firsthand what Harden is capable of.

“There's nothing he can't do on the offensive end of the floor,” Grizzlies coach J.B. Bickerstaff said, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. “There's no direction he can't go and be effective. There's no pass he can't make and there's no shot he can't make. He's got athleticism. He's got size. He's got strength.”

Apart from his physical abilities, Bickerstaff also praised mental prowess of the reigning MVP. According to him, this is what makes Harden hard to defend. Not only does he have the skillset, but he also has the confidence to do anything he wishes.

For defenses, the goal is to try to dictate where the offensive player goes. But with a guy like James Harden, it's hard to do since his will power simply outmatches the defender.

It's this ability that has powered the Rockets all season long. And true enough, Harden scored 57 points against the Grizzlies in their latest match-up, albeit in a losing effort as the game went to overtime.
