The Houston Rockets have been road warriors thus far this season. They currently have the best road record in the NBA at 9-1. They’ve won their last five road games in a row, all five of which they’ve won by 15 or more points. That ties the longest streak in NBA history.

The brilliance of James Harden has been a major reason for the Rockets’ success. He has been a legitimate MVP frontrunner through the first month of the season, averaging 31.6 points and 9.9 assists per game.
The scary thing for the rest of the league is that they could get even better. Their second-best player, Chris Paul, has only just returned from a knee injury which had kept him sidelined for most of the season. Paul played just 21 minutes in the Rockets’ dominant 26-point demolition of the Phoenix Suns, and had 17 points in 24 minutes in their 22-point win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Rockets will have to wait until December to extend that dominant road winning streak to six and make that record all their own since they start a four-game homestand this week. By that time, though, Paul might finally be back to full strength and can help them keep rolling on the road.
