Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul and teammate James Harden’s mother had a Shaqtin-a-Fool-worthy encounter at the end of Monday’s 96-85 win over the Utah Jazz.

As Paul crossed the half-court line to dribble out the clock, he reached over to ”Mama Harden” for a quick dap — just a casual acknowledgment of a quick congratulatory gesture. It was apparently illegal, and the nearby ref was not in the mood to let it go despite the contest all but done. Paul was called for a turnover, making it one of the funniest and craziest calls of the season.

Since it ended in victory, Paul and Harden had a good sense of humor about it. The two “called each other out” on Twitter:

Such moments from the Houston Rockets could happen again, as they are simply on a roll. The win was their 13th in a row, and 21 of their last 25, which was a stretch that began after their six-game skid at end of December.

A tough test is coming in the three few weeks and it should further prove how strongly-built the Rockets really are, as eight of their next 11 games will be on the road and only one of those is against a team that is not in the running for a playoff spot. Also, six of their 13 losses this season came from teams included in that list.

Nevertheless, the Rockets are coming in with guns blazing wherever they are. Their run-and-gun style has them ranking second in scoring and first in offensive rating, while their ever-improving defense is allowing them to be a plus 13.2 on points in their current winning streak.
