JR Smith's brother, Chris Smith, posted a picture of Houston Rockets stars James Harden and Russell Westbrook on Instagram with the caption, “Sh*t bout to get ugly one more piece…@teamswish sh*t would be sick.”

JR's Instram handle is @teamswish. The unrestricted free agent took a screenshot of his brother's post and posted the eye emoji.

JR Smith is free to sign with any team of his choice. The Rockets tried to acquire Smith last summer from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Smith played in only 11 games this past season with the Cavs before the organization exiled him. He averaged 6.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 34.2 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Rockets currently have 13 players on the roster, so they have two open roster spots. ESPN reported a few weeks ago the Los Angeles Lakers don't have any interest in signing JR, who played with LeBron James on the Cavs.

The Rockets need shooting around James Harden and Russell Westbrook. One thing we know about JR Smith is he's never shy of shooting the ball. The 33-year-old has career averages of 12.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 41.9 percent overall, 37.3 percent from the 3-point line and 73.2 percent from the charity stripe.
