Leaked bodycam footage taken by police on April 19 has surfaced, showing a severely injured Sterling Brown and Houston Rockets teammate Kevin Porter Jr. arguing with police following an altercation with other patrons at a Miami club.

While police muted the video, Brown is clearly visible and profusely bleeding from his head, all while Porter engages with several officers at the scene. At one point, a police officer can be seen dismissively waving his hand at the two as the argument grows more animated:

According to The Athletic, which first broke the news of the altercation last week when it occurred, Brown and Porter were at a Miami strip club during the early hours of April 19 in the lead-up to their game against the Miami Heat later that night. However, when the two prepared to leave the establishment, Brown inadvertently entered the wrong vehicle, sparking an altercation between himself and the other men in the car. Brown was subsequently hit over the head with a bottle, splitting open his face and requiring multiple stitches. Though Porter also sustained injuries when he intervened, they were considered minor, and the forward was able to play in the team's game against the Heat that evening.

While Brown is expected to play again this season, multiple people with the Rockets organization have said that they feared for his life in the aftermath of the attack. Watching the video of Brown covered in blood as he tries to stop the bleeding from his head, it is easy to understand why.

Let's hope that Sterling Brown fully recovers soon and is able to return to the court in a timely manner. Kevin Porter Jr. did have to enter the NBA's health and safety protocols, but now he has cleared them and is set to return to action
