Gaming industry legend Dan Houser may be starting a new game studio with Absurd Ventures in Games, a year after departing from Rockstar.

Rockstar Mag discovered a newly registered Absurd Ventures in Games in the UK, with Houser's name attached to it. The company registered on June 23, 2021, and will be having Houser as the director. There isn't much information about Absurd adventures in Games yet. (aside from the name being absurd.) All we know is that it's classified as a “Ready-made Interactive leisure and entertainment software development” company.

Although it's not entirely sure yet if the company is a game studio. Because on February 17, 2021, Houser also registered a separate company in the US called Absurd Ventures LLC, as well as Absurd Ventures in Games LLC both on the same day. This proposes the idea that the entire thing may not just be limited to video games.

Dan Houser left Rockstar Games in March of last year after an “extended break' in 2019. There hasn't been much news as to why he left the company he co-founded with his brother, Sam. Houser was known for his work on both the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption titles.

There's no doubt that video game storytelling has always been his passion so it's quite good to see him back in action. It'll be quite interesting to see what masterpieces he'll be bringing to the gaming industry in the future. Perhaps something to rival the GTA series? I guess we'll see.

In the meantime, here's everything we know about the next GTA game.
