It has been a rough summer for the Utah Jazz. They lost their All-Star, forward Gordon Hayward, who took his talents to Boston. Along with that, they also lost guard George Hill who had his best offensive season before leaving for the Sacramento Kings in free agency.

In a summer where the Western Conference got three more All-Stars from the East, the Jazz like the team that will not be able to make the playoffs. They lost their star player, one more key piece in Hill and their conference, especially teams out of the playoffs from last year, got tougher. However, do not say this to center Rudy Gobert.

The defensive phenom was asked about early postseason projections by Tony Jones from the Salt Lake Tribune. His response was pretty clear and up-front.

Gobert might be right. While other teams have gotten better, they will need an adjustment period. They will need to get their key pieces integrated into their offense. Along with that, Utah has Quin Snyder, one of the best coaches in the league, who can do a lot with what he has been given.

Utah is a tough team, and they surely will be tough to beat. They will most probably rely on their style of play, slow basketball and elite defense, something that got them results in the past.
