Russell Westbrook re-signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a 3-year, $85 million contract, with a player option on the last year. Regardless if he uses that player option, Westbrook will get a ridiculous amount of money for next contract as well.

Because he will reach 10 years in the NBA in 2018, the Thunder can offer him a maximum contract. The contract initially starts at 35% of the teams salary cap, but it can grow larger.

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com, Westbrook could be offered a contract within the range of 5-years, $204 million. If he were to sign that contract, he will have signed the biggest contract in NBA history.

Expect the Oklahoma City Thunder will do everything they can to keep their franchise player happy, and in a Thunder jersey. They don't want another Kevin Durant situation on their hands.
