New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram will be a free agent after this season, and it's no surprise he wants to remain with the Saints. Ingram is the thunder complement to fellow teammate Alvin Kamara's lightning style of running and the two work brilliantly together.

According to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, Ingram wants nothing more than to play with the Saints passed this season.

“I met my wife here. My children were born here. Very rarely does anybody get to spend their career in one place. I love New Orleans. I love this team. I love this organization, so we’ll see. We’ll see what happens. I hope we win a Super Bowl and hopefully everything works out. It’s a business, and I hope everything works out. I love it here. . . .I’m not looking just to leave New Orleans. I’m not looking to just up and leave New Orleans. My squad, you know we’ve got a good squad. I feel like we could do this type of thing for many more years. I’m not looking just to bail out of New Orleans.”

Ingram would likely have to settle for a contract that isn't exactly along the lines of a contract Le'Veon Bell is seeking, but it's obvious Ingram deserves a nice contract for his efforts with the Saints.

The Saints are a fantastic offensive team, and Ingram has been a significant part of the team's success despite sharing the backfield with Kamara. The two running backs are scary for opposing teams and it ought to be a priority for the Saints to keep Ingram around.
