The New Orleans Saints will have a new quarterback under center on Sunday while their defense is without one of their key contributors. According to ESPN's Dianna Russini, Marshon Lattimore will be inactive versus the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11.

Last Sunday, Drew Brees suffered an injury that would prevent him from playing in the second half against the San Francisco 49ers. After discovering he had broken ribs and a collapsed lung, the Saints are going to be starting Taysom Hill at quarterback.

On the other side of the ball, Lattimore was also limited in New Orleans' win over San Francisco, sustaining an abdominal injury. Despite being listed as questionable to play, Lattimore is not going to be able to suit up for the Saints on Sunday.

Seeing that New Orleans faces a Falcons offense that has Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, the absence of Lattimore could be massive for the Saints. With Lattimore ruled out, Janoris Jenkins and Patrick Robinson will get the nod as the top-two cornerbacks in Week 11. Plus, expect to see Ken Crawley or Chauncey Gardner-Johnson on the field more in three wide-receiver sets.

Lattimore has played well for New Orleans this season, forcing a 59.2 percent completion percentage when he's been targeted. He's also logged 43 tackles, three pass breakups, and an interception in the first eight games for the Saints.

During the course of the week, it seemed as if there was a chance Lattimore could give it a go on Sunday. However, the Saints are taking a cautious approach with their Pro Bowl cornerback by holding him out against the Falcons.
