New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is one of the best to ever do it, and Taysom Hill is trying to soak it all in. Hill has been with the Saints since the beginning of the 2017 season, and he's turned into a nice weapon for them.

Head coach Sean Payton uses Hill in a variety of ways on offense, and he also contributes on special teams. Speaking to the media recently, Hill said he tries to emulate Brees as much as possible.

“I do what Drew does,” Hill said, via Amie Just of NOLA.com. “You could ask anybody here. I follow him around. I’ve adopted his schedule.”

“To how he studies for a game. How he prepares for a game both mentally and physically, obviously there’s something there,” he continued.

Hill did say there were some differences in their workout routines since Hill plays several different positions, but mostly he sticks to the same script.

“But overall, man, I do what he does,” he said. “He’s been doing it for a long time and he’s got a lot more experience than I do and I’ve tried to take advantage of all of his experience and adopt that into my routine.”

There's been a lot of talk about Teddy Bridgewater potentially taking over for Brees one day, but he's not the only notable backup quarterback on the roster.

Payton has always been infatuated with the BYU product, and it seems like he's got a good shot at sticking around for a while.

Last year Hill had 37 carries for 196 yards and two touchdowns, and he also tallied six tackles and a blocked punt while playing special teams.
