New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill left his team's game against the Washington Football Team early after taking scary helmet-to-helmet hit.

After a leaping Hill failed to haul in a pass from Jameis Winston, leaving him defenseless as he fell to the ground, Washington cornerback Williams Jackson III lowered his head and made contact with Hill's helmet. The Saints star was attended to by team medical personnel as the officials flagged Jackson for a personal foul.

Though Hill was ultimately carted off the field, the good news is that he got on the vehicle of his own accord.

New Orleans has yet to update Hill's status.

Hill, who lost a quarterback competition to Winston in training camp, entered Sunday's action with two catches for 26 yards. Most of his production has come as a ball-carrier, with Hill accounting three touchdowns and 77 yards on 16 carries. He's 3-of-4 for 12 yards and an interception as a passer.

New Orleans and Washington both came into Sunday's game at 2-2.
