Many New Orleans Saints fans are anxious about the team's upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks for two reasons. Not only are they playing a team that has managed to squeak through close games against decent competition, but they are also playing without franchise talisman Drew Brees.
The question of who will be the team's starting quarterback to stand opposite Russell Wilson is a question that the Saints had to figure out the entire week. It seems that they've finally found the answer mere hours before they kick off with Teddy Bridgewater.
As for the Saints offense, the team has played coy all week as to who will be mainly featured at QB, I’m told Teddy Bridgewater will get the start with some Taysom Hill sprinkled in throughout the game. #saints #seahawks

While the two QBs are skilled in their own right, Sean Payton understandably chose the safer option. Picking the man who has played actual snaps in the pocket is an obvious choice to make.
Bridgewater's numbers aren't flattering nor are they terrible. In the five games he played for the Saints last season, he completed 118 yards and one receiving touchdown. His QB rating was at a middling 70.6.
Meanwhile, Taysom Hill has played more of a tight end role rather than a quarterback over the past two years. Drafted in 2017, he didn't get to do much in games. It was when he got shifted to the receiving corps that he finally managed to get snaps. In his first season as TE, he managed 196 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 37 attempts. While his receiving numbers last year was poor (three catches for four yards), he's upped the ante this season with his 25 receiving yards in two games.
However, it's not only up to the two quarterbacks to carry the game for the Saints. The entire offense must do their job to win the game. The offensive line must plug their holes and prevent another Brees-like injury from happening.
It's up to the entire team to win in Brees' absence.
