The rumor mill is in full swing right now as the 2022 NFL Draft quickly approaches. Every team is finalizing their draft boards while getting a last look at some of the rookie prospects. After trading with the Philadelphia Eagles to acquire a second first-round pick, the New Orleans Saints are rumored to be interested in some quarterbacks. Specifically, Malik Willis and Kenny Pickett.

According to JPA Football, the Saints are going to consider trading up to select either Malik Willis or Kenny Pickett. This would be a bold move, as the franchise has already traded a future 2023 first-round pick to the Eagles. Either way, New Orleans might make the move as the coaching staff may fall in love with one of these prospects.

Based on the fact the Saints have multiple holes on the offense, it'd be wise to focus on other areas in the NFL Draft. Jameis Winston hopes to bounce back from his knee injury, but it's not like he's a safe bet as a starting quarterback either. For that reason, New Orleans may opt to select Willis or Pickett to challenge Winston for the starting quarterback role.

Luckily for the Saints, they have the draft capital to acquire a rookie quarterback while filling the holes in the offense. They are in desperate need of wide receivers and offensive linemen. However, with two first-round picks and another selection in the second round, New Orleans can address their two biggest needs while acquiring a rookie quarterback to compete with Jameis Winston.

We'll see how the 2022 NFL Draft plays out. New Orleans has a chance to make big moves and could walk away as big winners on draft night. Keep an eye on this franchise, as the Saints could look to shake things up with a big trade on April 29th.
