Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3 will be adding strongly requested characters Cham Cham and Hibiki to the roster in the upcoming new DLC.

Cham Cham returns to Samurai Shodown

Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3 will bring back Cham Cham to the series. Cham Cham, a boomerang-wielding feline-like girl, was first introduced in the 1994 game Samurai Shodown II. She's the younger sister of Tam Tam, a character first introduced in the first game. Cham Cham became more popular than her sister, though. She would later appear in other SNK games, and would even have her own Pachinko game, the only character in the series to have one.

Cham Cham is energetic, which reflects her fighting style. She's light on her toes and quick to fight, allowing her to outwit her opponents with her nimbleness. She can throw her boomerang to fight from afar, or send her pet chimpanzee Paku Paku to fight for her.

Hibiki Takane enters Samurai Shodown for the first time

Hibiki Takane, originally from another of SNK's series, The Last Blade, is coming to Samurai Shodown for the first time. She consistently ranks as one of the most popular characters across all of SNK's titles. This explains why fans have been clamoring for her appearance in SNK's most popular game right now. She fights with a sword, practicing a style called Musou Shinden-ryu. She also shares some moves with Samurai Shodown's Ukyo Tachibana.

While Hibiki hasn't appeared in many games so far, her appearance in Samurai Shodown is a welcome one. Fans will surely appreciate her return, especially since her last non-mobile game appearance was in 2001's Capcom vs. SNK 2.

Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3 arrives this March

Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3 will arrive on Nintendo Switch, Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One mid-March. The DLC will add four new characters, including two yet-unrevealed characters. SNK hasn't revealed an exact day yet, however. The release date will probably be released when SNK announces the two other mystery characters.
