Upon taking on the rival Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon in the Pacific Northwest, the previously red hot Seattle Seahawks lost in more ways than one so it appears. In addition to dropping a huge divisional matchup at home, the Seahawks have also lost starting running back Chris Carson for the season, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

Not only that, but Seahawks starting left tackle Duane Brown has also been ruled out for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign — one that will end with the heralded NFC West franchise reaching the postseason.

With the Seahawks gearing up to take a banged-up roster into the playoffs, it will surely be interesting to see how Carroll and his team ultimately respond to such adversity.

While Brown will undergo surgery to repair the damage done to his injured knee, Carson has been ruled out due to a significant hip injury. Adding to the injury-riddled roster in Seattle, Carroll also made it known that another Seattle running back in C.J. Prosise won't play again in 2019-20 as a result of a broken arm.

The Seahawks entered the Week 16 matchup against the rival Cardinals without the services of a third running back in Rashaad Penny, who was previously lost for the year due to a serious knee injury of his own.

In addition to the Seahawks, the NFC West division will also be represented by the surging San Francisco 49ers come playoff time. The Seahawks and 49ers will square off in Seattle come Week 17 as the NFC West crown will be on the line.
