The Seattle Seahawks were able to acquire Josh Gordon via waivers before Week 9. After having another week to get acclimated with the offense, Pete Carroll says that Gordon has a “good chance” to make his debut on Monday night.

“You've got to wait and see,” Carroll said with a smile, using his go-to line for questions about availability and personnel decisions in upcoming games. “Wait and see. There's a good chance.”

The Seahawks' head coach was also very complimentary of Gordon's ability to pick up Seattle's offense.

“He did really well,” Carroll said of Gordon's first week of practice with Seattle. “He was very impressive in terms of picking stuff up, studying overtime. He fit in really well. He's a really good athlete. You can really tell that he's got a lot of potential to be a big-time player, so it was fun to see him on the practice field. He did a nice job.”

Gordon joins a receiving corps that already includes Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf at the forefront. Due to his limited time with the team, it remains to be seen if the veteran pass-catcher has a prominent role yet.

The Seahawks will take part in an important game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10. The 49ers are the only remaining team in the NFL who is still undefeated after the New England Patriots fell to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9.

On the other hand, Seattle is right below them with a 7-2 record. With Gordon likely being active, he could be the difference in Monday night's contest.
