Since entering the league, quarterback Russell Wilson has experienced much success under center with the Seattle Seahawks. Much of that has come in the regular season.

During Sunday's 24-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers, he left the game with an impressive mark in NFL history, according to NFL communications.

Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson threw two touchdown passes and rushed for a touchdown in the Seahawks’ 24-13 win at San Francisco. Seattle improved to 7-4 on the season and bounced back from last week’s 34-31 loss against Atlanta. With the victory, Wilson improved to 23-4 (.852) in his career in games following an in-season loss, the best record by a starting quarterback since the 1970 merger (minimum 15 such starts).

Wilson has brought much stability to the Seahawks in each of his first five seasons. He has helped lead the team to a playoff appearance in each campaign, while earning three NFC West division titles, including a pair of Super Bowl appearances and a championship.

Seattle is also on pace for another trip to the playoffs this season despite having an injury-ridden defense due to the strong play of Wilson. His ability to continue to guide his team to wins in spite of the loss of key defenders — such as Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas — has only further fueled how talented and valuable he is to the Seahawks' success.

On top of that, he is on pace to throw for a career-high 4,406 yards along with 33 touchdown passes, which would be one shy of his career-best mark. Ultimately, all of this speaks to the unique talent that Wilson possesses and why he is widely regarded as being one of the top quarterbacks in the league in his first six seasons.
