The Seattle Seahawks hosted a familiar face in Marshawn Lynch on Thursday during the team's practice. To the dismay of Seahawks' fans, Seattle is not signing Lynch despite his recent visit to the team facility per Joe Fann.

While some are going to assume why Lynch was in Seattle, he was simply at the facility to speak to some of his former teammates and coaches. Due to Lynch not being officially retired from the NFL, the Seahawks had to list it as an official visit to the league.

Lynch last played in the NFL in 2018 when he was with the Oakland Raiders. Of course, Lynch is mostly known for his time with the Seahawks from 2010-2015.

During his six years in Seattle, Lynch made his name as one of the hardest running backs to tackle. Altogether, Lynch rushed for 6,347 yards and 57 touchdowns in his time with the Seahawks.

Above all, Lynch was a catalyst in Seattle winning a Super Bowl in the 2013 season. In Seattle's playoff run, Lynch contributed 288 yards and four touchdowns as the Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos 43-9 in the Super Bowl.

After putting together an impressive resume with the Seahawks, Lynch decided to retire following the 2015 season. But after spending a year in retirement, Lynch chose to return to the NFL for his hometown team in the Raiders.

Despite Lynch being born in Oakland, Seattle became Lynch's second home during his career in the NFL. Even though the Seahawks don't need a running back, fans would definitely welcome Lynch back with open arms if he chose to return to the team.
