The XFL is off and running. And it looks like it's working out pretty well, as we've now got the rumblings people have been expecting. Some NFL teams are apparently looking at the talent in the league.

According to Bob Condotta of the SeattleTimes.com, specifically, it looks like the Seattle Seahawks are scouting Houston Roughnecks quarterback P.J. Walker.

Walker has definitely been one of the biggest breakout stars of the XFL so far. As shown by those numbers, he's looked like a legitimate superstar. And the fact that his team is undefeated should make teams all that much more interested in him.

Basically since Week 1, people have been expecting Walker to get some looks. He was fantastic then, and has only proven since that he is no one-hit wonder.

If he does not sign with the Seahawks, he will likely have other teams interested in his services.

Don't expect Walker to be the last either. There have been quite a few standout players and the NFL is always looking for the next stars.

This is just further proof that more competition to the NFL is only a good thing. It helps give a shot to players that otherwise would not have gotten the opportunity.

What this means for the XFL is a little tougher though. They likely don't want to be see as the “minor leagues” for the NFL. It might get more players interested in the league, but it could take some eyes away as well. They want to be competitors.

And if the NFL is taking away their best players, people might not want to watch as much.

It will be interesting to see if this changes anything with the XFL and it's viewership. They still have the interesting rules going for them. That might keep eyes on the product for now.
