After being an early question mark for the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 14 matchup against the Houston Texans, wide receiver DK Metcalf has now received the green light to feature in the game.

Metcalf did not take part in the Seahawks’ scheduled practice sessions on both Wednesday and Thursday. He came up with an illness this week and is still nursing the nagging foot injury that he has dealt with for much of the season. Still, he has not missed a single game this year due to the injury.

Metcalf made his return to practice on Friday, where he was a full participant throughout the session. He came away from practice with no setbacks regarding his foot injury.

The Seahawks later released their final injury report ahead of their clash with the Texans, as the team did not list an injury designation for the third-year wide receiver. Thus, barring any last-minute changes, Metcalf will play in Week 14.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will also have running back Alex Collins available for this game, although he was limited in practice throughout the week due to an abdomen injury. However, running back Travis Homer has officially been ruled as out due to both his calf and hamstring injuries.

The Seahawks come into Week 14 on the heels of their home win over the San Francisco 49ers last week. Their aspirations at a playoff spot in the NFC are currently slim, but a winning streak to finish the season could at the least provide them with a fighting chance at playing playoff football come January.
