Tedric Thompson has been showing major promise at safety for the Seattle Seahawks this season. With both Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas now gone, the Seahawks are hoping to build a new star duo at the back of their defense. Against the Los Angeles Rams, Thompson came through with a massive play.

Late in the game, Jared Goff and the Rams were driving the football looking to score and win the game. Unfortunately, a pass from Goff that was intended for Gerald Everett was dropped. Thompson laid out on the field and got his hand under the football and was then able to corral the ball for an interception.

Following the game, Thompson spoke out about his interception and it showed just how important of a play it was for the Seahawks' safety.

Seattle made a major statement with the win and moved to 4-1 on the young season. They also were able to bump the Rams to 3-2 and move above them in the standings. It was a huge night for the team, to say the least.

If Thompson is able to become the leader of the secondary for the Seahawks, they are going to be tough to beat. Making this play was a huge confidence booster and showed a bit of what he is capable of.

Next up for the Seahawks will matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Russell Wilson and company will be looking to make another statement against a team that has a lot of hype surrounding them. Thompson will need to play a big role in that game as well.
