Seattle Seahawks tight end Will Dissly is feared to have suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and that would end his season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. If the pending results from the MRI confirm his status, it will be his second consecutive season ended early due to injury.

The injury that Dissly suffered occurred during the Seahawks' 32-28 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. The injury was described as ‘serious' by head coach Pete Carroll and was mentioned as being related to his Achilles.

“He did hurt his Achilles. We don’t have the final on it, but it’s a serious one,” Carroll said, via the team's official website. “He’s got to get some tests and stuff like that, MRIs and all that, but it’s a big loss.”

The recent play that Dissly provided the Seahawks earned strong praise from Carroll describing him as a ‘first-class competitor.' Through six performances, he totaled 23 receptions resulting in 262 yards and a team-high four touchdowns.

“He’s been playing great football,” said Carroll. “If you saw him, he’s running in open field and it just happened like Achilles do, they come out of nowhere. It’s a devastating injury for him for this season. Will’s done everything he can. He’s been an unbelievable Seahawk. Every play that he’s been in for us, last year and this year, he was just top-flight and a first-class competitor in all ways. It’s just unfortunate that he’s going to have to miss this deal here if the tests come through like we think they will.”

The Seahawks were receiving great production from Dissly leading up to their matchup with the Browns. They will need to adjust while he remains sidelined for what could likely be the remainder of the season.
