Seattle Seahawks defensive end Carlos Dunlap earned a game-winning sack on Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray late in Thursday night's game between the division rivals.

Coming on a 4th-and-10, with 38 seconds remaining in the match, Dunlap's overpowered offensive lineman Joshua Miles on single coverage, to overtake Murray before the QB could step up in the pocket. His second sack of the game-and third in his three games with the Seahawks-Dunlap has been a boon for a Seattle defense that had been much maligned through the first half of the NFL season.

Acquired from Cincinnati in late October for a seventh-round draft pick, the Bengals' career leader in sacks was considered a “buy-low” trade candidate following a breakdown in the relationship with his former team. Benched as a result of his quality of play, the former defensive end was asked to stay away from the team's facilities, as the organization sought a trading partner.

Not only has Dunlap's play significantly improved since the move occurred, his timely sack has also guaranteed that Seattle will take sole possession of first place in the division for another week.
