Former Real Madrid mainstay Sergio Ramos is heading to the French capital. According to RMC Sport, the 35-year-old Spaniard will join Ligue 1 giants PSG on a two-year deal, pending medicals.

Ramos was considering moves to Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and another unknown Premier League club as well, but he ultimately decided to join Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in Paris. It's also believed that one of the English sides was offering a better pay than PSG, but Sergio Ramos decided to snub them.

The Spanish international, who was left out of Luis Enrique's squad for Euro 2020, spent 16 years at the Bernabeu and will likely go down as one of the greatest defenders to ever play for the club. During that span, Ramos made 469 appearances and bagged 72 goals while winning five La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies. His contract ultimately expired this summer with Los Blancos.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has been a long-time fan of Sergio Ramos and he'll undoubtedly bring experience and leadership to an already solid backline at the Parc Des Princes. This signing just tops off what has been a relatively busy summer already for the French standouts, having signed former Liverpool standout Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer.

It will feel odd to see Sergio Ramos in another shirt. But, his impact will be felt heavily in Paris as they look to re-capture the Ligue 1 title and make another run at Champions League glory after coming up short the last two seasons.
