Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons is getting pretty fed up over the hate he has gotten recently. Asked what he thinks about the slander he receives on social media, the Sixers point-forward sent out an expletive response, per USA Today's Ky Carlin.

Ben Simmons' name has been dragged through the mud as of late, particularly at the height of the Houston Rockets' so-called James Harden saga. The 24-year-old playmaker was relentlessly put in trade rumors and was actually close to moving to H-Town before The Beard was shipped to the Nets. While he continues to stay in the City of Brotherly Love, some pundits continue to doubt if he is indeed worth keeping around for the future.

In 14 games this season, Simmons' scoring average has regressed to just 12.4 points in 51.2 percent shooting from the field. He is still a pretty good all-around player, tallying 8.7 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.6 steals. While those numbers continue to be solid, the argument can be made that he hasn't exactly shown any significant improvements to his game over the years.

The most glaring issue is still his limited range, which continues to limit the Sixers' offense whenever he is on the floor. The playmaking he provides at his size is still one of his best assets, but opposing teams have already made adjustments to handle this. Simmons did have a fine game against the Boston Celtics on Friday, helping his team run away with a 122-110 victory. The 6-foot-10 facilitator pitched in 15 points on an efficient 7-for-10 shooting from the field, along with 11 dimes, three rebounds, two steals, and one block.

For sure, Ben Simmons will continue hearing criticism in the coming weeks. But for now, he's just focusing on tuning out the noise.
