In his first two seasons in the league, big man Jahlil Okafor has seen his future with the Philadelphia 76ers quickly become filled with uncertainty.

There were a plethora of trade rumors surrounding Okafor throughout much of last season heading into the trade deadline, but nothing truly came about aside from the Chicago Bulls showing significant interest. However, head coach Brett Brown stated on Wednesday morning that the 76ers are still looking to move on from the former third overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

The 21-year-old has found himself on the outside looking in as Philadelphia has fully committed to Joel Embiid as being the team's long-term solution at center. This resulted in a noticeable dip in his production in his second campaign where he averaged 11.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in 50 games played with 33 starts before his season came to abrupt end in late March due to soreness in his right knee.

Although there are concerns about his play defensively, Okafor has proven to be quite a capable offensive player in his first two years and could excel in an extended offensive role with another team.

Along with that, Okafor has shown a renewed focus this offseason as he's lost more than 20 pounds due to his commitment to a vegan diet while also still voicing comfort in playing in Philadelphia. This hasn't appeared to change the organization's thinking about where he fits in the long-term puzzle as he could be on the way out if a feasible trade offer is presented.
