The Philadelphia 76ers' NBA Playoff run ended with an embarrassing Game 6 loss to the Miami Heat, which featured a lackluster offense and a lifeless defense. The poster child for the lifeless offense was superstar guard James Harden, who attempted just two shots in the second half, to the chagrin of Sixers fans. If that wasn't frustrating enough, Harden's head-scratching explanation to his second half hibernation certainly is, per ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

Harden said that “the Sixers ran their offense, and the ball didn't get back to him” in the loss to the Heat. That's an answer that will surely get an angry mob of Philly fans coming for him.

Sixers fans are probably thinking that the ball didn't get back to Harden because he didn't want the ball. For Harden, who seemed to look like a lesser version of the star player the franchise traded for back at the deadline, to be such a non-factor in a do-or-die NBA Playoff game is hard to explain away.

While superstar center Joel Embiid should shoulder some of the blame as well, Sixers fans aren't going to let up when it comes to Harden's disappearance against the Heat.

The Beard averaged the second-lowest points per game average in his playoff career this year for the Sixers, shooting just 40.5 percent from the field.

The Sixers will now have to focus their attention to the offseason much sooner than they would have liked. One of the most pressing matters will be the future of James Harden.
