After missing three games and being forced to see a specialist, Jimmy Butler still isn’t able to play tonight against the Denver Nuggets.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, Philadelphia 76ers forward Jimmy Butler visited a specialist in Los Angeles yesterday, and was confirmed to have only suffered a sprained right wrist.

While he won’t be able to play tonight against the Denver Nuggets, he is likely to be available to play Tuesday when the 76ers take on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Fortunately for Butler, the injury isn’t anything too serious, though missing any games is something no player likes to do. While Butler did miss three games so far, he was able to participate in the teams practice earlier this week.

At the moment, it seems like Corey Brewer will once again be getting the starting nod against the Nuggets, with T.J. McConnell and Landry Shamet getting extra minutes in Butler’s absence.

Despite Butler missing three games, Philadelphia hasn't missed a beat, as they were able to beat both the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs without the star forward.

After a tumultuous start to the season, Butler has continued to play at his normal, superstar level for Philadelphia.

In his 28 appearances with the Sixers this season (all starts), Butler has posted averages of 19.0 points on 47.5 percent shooting from the field (38.6 percent from beyond the arc), 4.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.9 steals in 32.1 minutes per outing.

Those numbers have helped the 76ers regain some ground in the Eastern Conference, where they currently sit in fourth place with a 32-17 record.
