Former Utah Jazz center Tony Bradley had the opportunity to go up against All-Star big man Rudy Gobert in practice during his three-year stint in Salt Lake City. Now, as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, the 22-year old got his first experience of going up against another All-Star center in Joel Embiid.

Bradley shared how his first practice with Embiid went, and it's safe to say the Sixers star big man didn't hold back in talking some smack to the newcomer–all while taking a jab at Rudy Gobert.

“The very first day we were guarding each other, and I think after we finished, he says something like ‘this isn't Rudy [Gobert] — this ain't Rudy,” Bradley explained, via Justin Grasso of Sports Illustrated. “I just laughed because it's different.”

Classic, Joel Embiid.

A notoriously known trash talker, the 2014 third overall pick certainly didn't bother giving a pass for his new Sixers teammate. Nonetheless, it might be better for Bradley to get the Embiid experience as soon as his first day with the team. This is something he'll need to get used to as he endures Embiid's trash talk throughout the 2020-21 campaign.

Nonetheless, the Cameroonian may be speaking some truth, as he is a much more skilled player than Gobert on the offensive side of the ball. Thus, there's certainly a huge difference when it comes to guarding those two.

The Sixers had a disappointing 2019-20 campaign that saw them got swept in the first round of the playoffs. Philadelphia underwent some personnel changes in the offseason, including hiring Doc Rivers as head coach and Daryl Morey as president of basketball operations. They also acquired new pieces and added shooters such as Danny Green and Seth Curry to better complement their star duo of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.

With a new look team, Embiid and the Sixers will look to bounce back from an underwhelming 2019-20 campaign.
