The Philadelphia 76ers will have their All-Star center Joel Embiid available to play tonight when they take on the New York Knicks, according to Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Embiid briefly left Saturday's game against the L.A. Clippers during the fourth quarter after banging his right knee onto the hardwood. He would return three minutes later and finish with a game-high 29 points on 9-of-23 shooting, including 10-of-13 from the stripe, along with 16 rebounds, two assists, a steal and three blocked shots.

The big man entered Saturday's game with an ankle injury and cited fatigue as the cause of the incident, while the Sixers had yet to list him on the injury report following the tilt.

Embiid's own teammates suggest Embiid would need a breather after the game and that there may have been a bit of acting involved, though this won't be an issue heading into Monday's home game, as Camerato reported.

The 7-footer is averaging 24.2 points and 13.2 rebounds per game, along with 2.4 assists, 2.2 blocks, and a steal per game through a 31-minute run in his last five games — excellent numbers that could be costing him plenty of wind with all that he does all over the floor.

Embiid has truly had an All-Star season, tapping into his full potential with very little restrictions and a much-improved supporting cast, but the toll of the long 82-game NBA season could be having the fatigue effects that some have called the “rookie wall” after the 23-year-old played only 31 games in his debut season in 2016-17.
