So far, so good for James Harden's stint with the Philadelphia 76ers. He proved that he can fit perfectly next to Joel Embiid, helping lead the Sixers to a 133-102 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Both players shined in their first real game together.

Harden's scoring and playmaking proved to be extremely impactful right away. The Beard tallied an efficient 27 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds while The Process recorded 34 points and 10 rebounds, which led both teams. Although the Timberwolves are not a very strong defense, the Sixers' stars meshing together so quickly is a tremendous sign of things to come.

Embiid took to Instagram to gush over Harden, invoking a LeBron James meme to show how happy he is with his new star teammate.

Embiid explained after the game that Harden makes his life so much easier because he gets him so open late in the game. Tyrese Maxey, who scored 28 points and was the beneficiary of several Harden assists, echoed Embiid's sentiments. Adding one of the NBA's best offensive players should make life easier for the Sixers as a whole. They rank tied-for-13th in offensive rating but should easily finish in the top 10 once the season concludes.

Philadelphia remains in third place in the Eastern Conference. Harden is the perfect piece to get the Sixers over the hump. Both he and Embiid can put immense pressure on the defense by scoring and drawing fouls at will. Once the playoff roll around, the Sixers could be a truly scary opponent.
