Joel Embiid has spent the last few years dominating the center position in the NBA. The Philadelphia 76ers star blossomed into a bona fide superstar in the past two years, bringing a blend of power and finesse rarely seen in the NBA. It's allowed him to be one of the best players in a league dominated by guards and wings, and a bona fide MVP contender.

Against the Cavs on Saturday night, Joel Embiid flashed shades of Sixers legend Wilt Chamberlain, grabbing a 40-point triple double to lead the team to victory. Embiid's triple-double was the first of its kind since Wilt did it for the team 54 years ago. (via StatMuse)

Embiid's towering presence helped the Sixers survive without James Harden, their latest acquisition during the trade deadline. The Cameroonian star scored 40 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and dished out 10 assists, doing a little bit of everything. It's these kinds of performances that have fans seeing the ghost of Chamberlain during their games.

The Sixers retooled during the trade deadline, dealing disgruntled star Ben Simmons to the Nets for Harden, as well as Paul Millsap. While it's not certain whether Millsap will be bought out or play a significant role with the team, Harden brings a new dimension to the offense that Philly desperately needed. Once he returns from injury, this team will be dangerous.

While Harden is on the mend, though, the Sixers still have a triple-double machine in Joel Embiid to carry them. Look out NBA: Philly will be absolutely scary come the postseason. Fans are already excited to see The Beard ball out for them.
