Joel Embiid turned in another epic performance on Saturday night as he led the Sixers to a 133-120 win over the Indiana Pacers. The Sixers superstar dropped 41 points en route to joining the likes of Shaquille O'Neal and Wilt Chamberlain in the history books.

Embiid is now just the seventh player in NBA history to record at least 40 30-point games in a single season (h/t NBA History on Twitter):

Talk about elite company. Not even the likes of LeBron James or Michael Jordan are on this list. Perhaps even more astounding is the fact that Hall of Fame big man Wilt Chamberlain achieved this feat seven times in his career. At least for this particular category, Embiid can now be mentioned in the same breath as Chamberlain.

Apart from his 41 points, the MVP frontrunner also amassed 20 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block in 37 minutes of action. Embiid was very efficient in this one, going 14-of-17 from the field and 2-of-2 from 3-point territory.

Embiid and the Sixers close their season on Sunday night with a matchup against the Detroit Pistons. It remains to be seen if Sixers coach Doc Rivers will give Embiid the night off given how they've clinched a playoff spot already. Their final positioning is still on the line, though, so it's very much possible that Embiid still suits up in Sunday's finale.
