Kevin Durant is shaking up the NBA landscape yet again. In a shocking twist of events, the Brooklyn Nets star asked to be traded from his current team. Already, many teams are reportedly lining up their offers for the former MVP. Among those teams, of course, are the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Sixers have long been looking for that final piece to take them into title territory. The front office has never been shy to make bold moves in terms of their roster. Now that Durant is available, we can expect them to make an aggressive push for the disgruntled star. Joel Embiid's plea to the front office regarding this development only solidifies this. The idea of Joel Embiid and Kevin Durant teaming up with the Sixers is an intriguing one, to say the least. The two have had their fair share of battles on the court, but both men clearly have a ton of respect for each other. If Daryl Morey pulls this off, it could easily push Philly to title contender status.

The problem, though, is Durant's likely price. If the Nets are going to part with their star, you can bet that they'll be asking for a hefty return. For the Sixers, it could mean a combination of Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, and Matisse Thybulle. Even then, there will likely be stronger offers from other teams too.

At the very least, the Sixers should do their due diligence and inquire about Kevin Durant. The prospect of two of the best players in the NBA teaming up is way too intriguing, after all.
