It sounds like Sixers All-Star big man Joel Embiid misses Jimmy Butler in Philadelphia.

After Butler went off in Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks for a playoff career-high 40 points, Embiid took to Twitter to show his love for his former teammate.

Jimmy Butler was a stud for the Sixers in the 2019 playoffs. However, he opted to sign with the Miami Heat via a sign-and-trade deal and the Sixers really missed Butler during the 2019-20 season.

The Sixers got swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2020 playoffs. While the team was playing without Ben Simmons, they likely would have made the series more competitive if Butler was still on the squad next to Joel Embiid.

This is a big offseason for the Sixers. GM Elton Brand has to hire a new head coach after firing Brett Brown. He also has to decide if he wants to keep Simmons and Embiid together or split up the All-Stars.

Butler may be a hard player to play with, but he fits perfectly with the Heat. Unfortunately for Embiid, his pal is now flourishing with the South Beach franchise while he's stuck in the middle with the Sixers.
