Metta World Peace wants you to know that Joel Embiid and the Sixers aren't playing around this season.

I mean, he does have a point. Philly was the No. 1 seed heading into the 2021 playoffs and have been utterly dominant through their first two games against the Washington Wizards.

Embiid is a clear MVP candidate who has been dominating all season long for the Sixers, while they also have two weapons in Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris. When you look around the league, there isn't a lot of teams that have the versatility offensively like Philadelphia and a tremendous defense that can lock down any team.

Simmons is practically the only player in the Association who can guard all five positions on the floor, while the Sixers also have shooters around their Big 3 like Seth Curry and Danny Green.

All the talk is about the Bucks and Nets to come out of the East, but Philadelphia should be considered a contender, too. World Peace said it best.

Don't sleep on Joel Embiid and the Sixers. They could definitely make a run to the finals. Philly will be looking to take a 3-0 stranglehold in their first-round matchup in Game 3 on Saturday in the nation's capital.
