Perhaps the biggest offseason story is where Ben Simmons ultimately ends up. A trade looks imminent for the Philadelphia 76ers point forward, and at this point him staying in Pennsylvania would be the more surprising outcome.

But what can the Sixers recoup from their three-time All-Star? Bleacher Report's Jason Dumas reports on exactly what Philly's demands are in any potential Ben Simmons trade:

“The Sixers have already fielded offers for Ben Simmons but continue to hold a stance that they will only trade him for an all-star caliber player. They most recently turned down a deal with the Pacers that included Malcolm Brogdon and a 1st round pick.”

One All-Star for another? The Sixers would have to find a team that's in desperate need of Ben Simmons' strengths, namely defense and playmaking for others on offense. There have been a number of potential destinations such as the Portland Trail Blazers or the Golden State Warriors, but the former might not have enough juice without dealing Damian Lillard, while the latter definitely won't be parting with one of their All-Stars.

This was the gamble that Daryl Morey and the Sixers took when they decided not to trade Simmons during the season. The James Harden trade rumblings were definitely for real, with a few small hiccups holding up the deal that had Ben Simmons as its centerpiece. But now they're just scrambling to find an ideal suitor willing to give up a player of value. Time will tell if Morey can work his trade magic once again.
