The Philadelphia 76ers pulled off an absolute blockbuster on Thursday by trading for James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets while sending Ben Simmons the other way. However, the Sixers also parted ways with Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two first-round picks. That wasn't to the liking of ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, who absolutely ripped apart Daryl Morey for giving up so much in the deal.

Take a look at this rant:

In a way, Smith has a point. It's definitely a bit risky for the Sixers because Drummond is a very good backup big and Curry is one of the most efficient shooters in the Association. On top of that, surrendering two first-rounders definitely hurts as well.

Simmons meanwhile fits quite nicely in Brooklyn given his ability to create for his teammates and rebound at a high level. He should thrive with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Ultimately though, the Sixers are banking on Harden being the missing piece to their championship team alongside MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid, who is truly in his prime right now. Plus, The Beard gets to reunite with Morey, who he spent years with in Houston with the Rockets.

We'll see if Stephen A's words prove to be right, but for the Sixers' sake, let's hope he's wrong. These fans are hungry for a title.
