The Philadelphia 76ers are shopping Danny Green and the no. 23 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, and according to the latest report, they have been aggressive in their pursuit of a trade.
Green is expected to be out for a huge chunk of the 2022-23 season after he suffered a torn ACL and LCL, and with the Sixers unlikely to get a high-impact rookie with the 23rd pick, they are inclined to move those two pieces.
In Michael Scotto's latest mock draft on Hoops Hype, he highlighted the Sixers' trade plans and what they want in return for the Green-plus-pick package:
The Philadelphia 76ers are shopping the 23rd overall pick aggressively with Danny Green to add an impact player who can contribute immediately.
The Sixers are in win-now mode, so it's natural that they don't have to wait for Danny Green to recover or a rookie to develop. With James Harden clearly no longer a no. 1 option, Philly needs to get more help around Joel Embiid to ensure that they can contend for the NBA championship come 2022-23.
It remains to be seen what moves the Sixers will make or which player they will target, but one thing is clear: they'll be quite active and perhaps one of the biggest players come the NBA Draft and during free agency.
