Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers — all seven feet and 250 lbs of him — almost knocked out Oscar-nominated actress Regina King after he tried to save the ball in their game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Check out the close call in multiple angles. If you look closely, King was almost on the receiving end of a foot to the face.

Good thing that the Sixers star's foot missed and the only casualty was King's hair and the statistician — who seemed perfectly fine after catching the big fella.

We can only imagine what would've happened to King's pristine face if he was hit by Embiid's foot with that velocity. A broken nose? A bulged eye-socket? A concussion? A coma? Who knows.

Fans in Madison Square Garden collectively held their breaths once they saw a seven-foot man about to dive into the crowd.

In the end, it was the Sixers who came away with the victory. Embiid fooled around and got a double-double, 26 points and 14 rebounds. Tobias Harris was also right on cue with 25 points, six rebounds, along with three makes from downtown. Ben Simmons had 18 points and seven assists.

The Sixers will now head to the midseason break. They'll be back on Feb. 21 to host the Miami Heat.
