The Philadelphia 76ers were in Boston on Wednesday night, looking to extend their stay in the playoffs for at least another game against the Celtics. Such high-stakes came with crazy emotions, as Joel Embiid and Aron Baynes appears to get a little after it.

In one play during the third quarter of Game 5 of this Eastern Conference semifinals series, Aron Baynes beat Joel Embiid to the basket with a surprisingly quick first step. Instead of letting Baynes score on an easy layup, Embiid opted to foul Baynes and send him to the free throw line.

That excited Baynes, who celebrated beneath the basket after hearing the whistle. Embiid did not like the call, so he gave Baynes a little shove to express his disappointment. Unfortunately for Embiid, Baynes appears to have a degree in method acting, so despite the fact that he’s built like a tank, he acted as though he was hit by a truck to sell the call.

Baynes primary job in the series is to put a body on Embiid.

Both Embiid and Baynes are very big boys who are surprisingly agile for their size. While Embiid is clearly the more athletic of the two, this sort of tomfoolery would certainly make for a good undercard to an MMA main event featuring more prominent fighters.
