There was a scary moment on the set of an ESPN Colombia program on Tuesday, as a large portion of the studio set crashed down on soccer journalist Carlos Orduz seconds after the show began taping a segment for ESPN FC Radio.

The wild clip began circulating on social media on Wednesday morning and quickly went viral.

Fortunately, Orduz was not injured in the accident.

Orduz is extremely lucky, considering that, in the video, it appears that a massive and heavy-looking monitor seemed to fall off the wall and crash down on his unsuspecting head.

For a brief moment before cameras cut away, Orduz looked to be in serious trouble with his body hunched over, his face pushed into the desk, and the monitor resting on his back.

Orduz's colleagues on the ESPN program expressed concern for their teammate before the network quickly cut to commercial break.

Yet, somehow, Orduz avoided significant injuries. Later, he posted a video message on Twitter confirming that he was indeed fine:

“They've already checked me, absolutely nothing happened apart from the scare,” he said.

The ESPN analyst also wrote a Tweet reassuring everyone that he received medical treatment and suffered only a bruise and minor nose injury:

A translation: “To those who wrote to me and greeted me about the accident last night, I must tell you that I am fine, thank God after the medical check-up, the respective examinations, any issue was ruled out, only a bruise and a blow to the nose (no fracture).”

Phew.
