Real Madrid is currently in second place in La Liga, and Rodrygo has been a solid player for the team this year. Rodrygo is also a major player for the Brazil national team, as Brazil prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Brazil got a difficult draw in the group stage, and the path to the knockout round just got more difficult due to injury, as reported by MARCA.

According to reports, Rodrygo has torn his ACL and will be out of action for the next six to seven months, ending his season with Real Madrid and his chances to play in the FIFA World Cup. The injury was confirmed by Real Madrid.

“Following tests carried out today on our player Rodrygo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and a rupture of the lateral meniscus of his right leg,” the La Liga club said in a statement.

The CBF wishes the athlete a speedy recovery and that he returns to the pitch as soon as possible.”

Monday was a difficult day all the way around for Real Madrid. Not only did they lose Rodrygo for the rest of the season, but the team lost 1-0 to Getafe. The win for Getafe moved them into 11th place in La Liga.
