Spotify founder Daniel Ek isn't playing around. He is serious about potentially buying Arsenal.

The Swedish Entrepreneur has long been a supporter of the North London club and made it clear that he is ready to make a bid.

“I want to bring what I think is a very compelling offer to the owners, and I hope they hear me out,” Ek said on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.” “I’m very serious. I have secured the funds for it,” he added.

There's no doubt that the Arsenal faithful would love a new owner after Stan Kroenke agreed to partake in the proposed European Super League. The big-six in the Premier League eventually bowed out after supporters across the UK created a ruckus over the idea.

Gunners fans have been protesting outside of the Emirates ever since, urging that Kroenke sell the club. However, the American insists that he is not interested in losing ownership.

“We remain 100% committed to Arsenal and are not selling any stake in the club,” the statement read, according to the Associated Press. “We have not received any offer and we will not entertain any offer.”

Kroenke, who also owns the Los Angeles Rams, bought Arsenal for a reported $2.3 billion back in 2018. Ek supposedly has the likes of club legend Thierry Henry in his corner for the bid, but it's going to be hard to get a deal over the line if Kroenke insists on refusing to sell.

However, it's crystal clear that Gunners fans hate their current owner with a passion after the Super League agreement, and with the side struggling to even clinch a Europa League spot this season, a change could be needed.

Arsenal's last opportunity at any piece of hardware this term remains, with Mikel Arteta's side taking on Villarreal in the Europa League semifinals on Thursday.
